The room itslef was cosy and clean and the breakfast was lovely, although the en suite door was not properly secured and continuously banged throughout the night which woke us up repeatedly.
Unfortunately, our complaint comes from our checkout experience. My partner asked the landlord if he would like us to leave the cash on the bedside table with the keys, and he said that was fine. Evidently he wasn't actually listening because once we reached Rosslare Harbour, he pulled up beside our car, having followed us, and threateningly asked us to get out of the car. When we opened the window, he demanded our payment from us. We explained that we had left it on the table just as we had said, and eventually he left. When we called later on to see if he had found the money, left where we said it would be, he suggested that the misunderstanding was our fault.
We are quite young, and I can almost understand his suspicion, but the fact that he would race down to the harbour to confront us so publicly before checking that we had left the money for him goes to show that he made an unfair moral judgement based wholly on our appearance and the fact that we were three (slightly dishevelled having been travelling all day) young people.
The whole experience was incredibly humiliating and was an unfortunate end to an otherwise lovely holiday in Ireland.

Nice family run place, very convenient for the ferry. They cater for early starts so that you can have a good breakfast before catching the early ferry.
